Driving in Toronto

Local governments idea of solving the traffic jam is to join in with the green(people who pretend they care about the planet which is very fashionable in Toronto) and try to convince you to not use your car. This is also cheaper than building roads or public transport. It enables them to spend our tax dollars while pretending to care about the enviroment. Only problem is it does not work in a city with teriblle public transport. If they build the public transport to a level a city like Toronto needs, more people would use it. Hopefully it would be one of these people;

“I am not going to let you in driver” ; This driver could be a man but more often it is a woman driver who would never let another driver in. Do you have so little power over your life that you have to fight for every inch of the road that does not belong to you?

“I am going to wait untill it is apsolutly safe to merge driver”; This driver will wait untill you need to shave agein before making a turn.

“Drivers in love with the the speed limit in the passing lane” Even Americans use the passing lane to pass. Canadian drivers use it to test their brake lights. Only thing worse is paring of cars in different lanes that are doing the same speed. This is done for one reason only. Resentment towards people who can drive.

Than we have the degenerates who drive so slowly that you are tempted to run out of your car and pass them on foot. But when you try to pass them in the car they accelerate in order to demonstrate how small minded they are. The less room you have to pass them on the right side, and the closer the parked car that you might hit is, the braver they get.

We also have a significant Asian population and allot of Taxi drivers.

This article would not be complete without honorable mention of Toronto’s pedestrian. They are so bad that they made it on the bad drivers list. You have never seen such sense of entitlement to the right of the way. The law may protect you in court but it does not from a car bumper, so before you assume that there is no danger, assume that the drivers are drunk, on drugs, tired, crazy and for once look before you cross.

PS I almost forgot idiots who use crossing lights on streets with light traffic. It takes longer to press the small button on the post than it does to let the single car pass.

All good drivers are alike. All the bad drivers are bad in their own way. Except in Toronto where all bad drivers are doing exactly the same things.
