Worlds dumbest law comes to us from Canada. If you exceed the speed limit on Canadian roads by more than 50 km per hour your drivers licence is taken away on the spot, you get a big ticket and your car is taken away for a week.
I presume the Canadian law makers decided they had enough of these speeding cars getting off so easy and all the blame being placed on the drivers. So if you lend your car to a friend or if you fall a sleep in the passenger seat while your fiance is testing the limits of the car like my friend did, you will find yourself taking a bus to work. The law has no provisions to reimburse you for car rental if you are cleared of charges in court or if it was not you who was driving the car at the time of the offence. I cant wait for laws that give guns life in prison for being a murder weapon.
